序曲はオペラやミュージカルの冒頭に演奏される音楽、または話し合いや関係を始めるための最初の申し出やアプローチを指します。

「序曲」は主に音楽や正式な場面で使われます。提案や申し入れの意味で使う場合も、日常会話よりはフォーマルな場面で使う言葉です。
