在突然感到疼痛時使用。也可以開玩笑地或在情感上使用，表示某句話或某件事讓人受傷、難堪或不好受。

很口語，在日常對話中非常常見。通常單獨作為感嘆詞使用：'Ouch!' 多用於身體疼痛，也可以用於別人說話太刻薄、犯了大錯或聽到壞消息時。和 'ow' 很像，但 'ouch' 語氣通常更強一些。
