Definition

用来指代已经提到或已知之外的不同或额外的事物或人。

常用作限定词或代词。通常用来对比不同的群体或选择：‘另一个’，‘另一次’。不能与表示同类增加的‘another’互换。非正式语境中，常与名词搭配表示“更多”：‘其他人’。注意与复数代词‘others’的区别。

I have two shirts; one is red, and the other is blue.
