'অনাথাশ্রম' সাধারণত শিশু কল্যাণ, দান ও সামাজিক কাজের প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহার হয়। কখনও কখনও এটি কিছুটা পুরনো ঢঙের শব্দ হিসেবে বিবেচিত হতে পারে। 'এডপশন এজেন্সি' বোঝাতে ব্যবহার হয় না।
