التعريف

金属や鉱物を取り出すことができる岩石や土のこと。採掘によって得られる。

「鉱石」は主に科学、鉱業、産業分野で使われます。'iron ore'（鉄鉱石）、'copper ore'（銅鉱石）などの言い方を覚えておくと便利です。加工済みの金属には使いません。

The miners found a lot of ore in the mountain.

鉱山労働者たちは山でたくさんの**鉱石**を見つけました。
