兵器とは、特に大砲や重火器などの軍隊で使われる大型武器、およびそれに関連する装備を指します。通常、軍事や歴史的な文脈で使われる言葉です。

日常会話ではあまり使われません。主に軍事や歴史、技術的な場面で使われ、「ordnance depot」や「unexploded ordnance」など表現もあります。「ordinance」（法令）と混同しないように注意しましょう。
