连接到互联网的，或通过互联网可以使用的。它可以形容人、服务、活动或信息是在网上进行或提供的。

这是日常英语里非常常见的词。常跟在 'be', 'go', 'buy', 'study' 和 'meet' 后面，如 'be online'、'buy online'。不要和 'on the internet' 混淆：两者都对，但在很多语境中 'online' 更简洁也更常用。
