何かにおいがするとき、特に強い、または不快なにおい。英語の "odor" は全てのにおいに使えますが、特に悪いにおいに使われることが多いです。

英語の "odor" は "smell" よりフォーマルで、技術的・科学的な文脈（例： body odor）でよく使われます。日常会話では 'smell' や 'stink' のほうが多いです。
