頌歌は、人物や物事、考えなどを称賛するために書かれる格式ばった詩の一種です。

主に文学や詩の文脈で使われます。「ode」は通常の詩よりも格式や賛美の意味合いが強いです。日常会話ではあまり使われませんが、「an ode to...」のように比喩的に使われることもあります。
