Definition

時々発生するが、定期的ではないこと。まれに起こる物事に使われます。

通常は名詞の前に付きます（例：'occasional visitor'）。'sometimes'の代わりには使えません。主にまれに起こることに使います。

We have occasional meetings for our project.

私たちはプロジェクトのために**たまの**会議を開きます。

She enjoys an occasional glass of wine with dinner.

彼女は夕食と一緒に**たまの**ワインを楽しみます。

There is occasional rain in the summer.
