以虚构人物和事件为主的长篇散文故事书。

“novels”專指長篇虛構小說，不包括非小說或短篇故事。常見搭配有“read novels”、“write novels”、“detective novels”。不要與“novellas”（中篇小說）或“romance novels”（言情類小說，不是所有小說）混淆。
