誰かを職や賞、選挙などのために公式に推薦・指名すること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主に公式・フォーマルな場面（賞、政治、企業など）で使われます。'ノミネーションを受ける'、'大統領のノミネート'など。'appointment（任命）'とは異なり、決定ではなく推薦の段階です。
