新聞記者とは、新聞のために記事を書いたり編集したりする男性のこと。

この言葉はやや古風です。今は「journalist（ジャーナリスト）」や「reporter（レポーター）」が一般的で、新聞の仕事に特化しています。テレビやネットには使いません。
