最近または重要な出来事についての情報で、主にテレビ、ラジオ、新聞、インターネットなどで伝えられるもの。個人的な新しい情報にも使うことがある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ニュース」は数えられない名詞。ＴＶや新聞の他、個人的な話題にも使えます（例：「いいニュースがあるよ」）。「ニュースを見る」「いい／悪いニュース」「速報（breaking news）」などと使われます。
