নেপচুন হলো সৌরজগতের অষ্টম ও সবচেয়ে দূরের গ্রহ। এটি প্রাচীন রোমান সমুদ্রের দেবতার নাম হিসেবেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

বৈজ্ঞানিক, জ্যোতির্বিদ্যা বা পৌরাণিক প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। গ্রহ বা দেবতা হিসেবে উল্লেখ করলে প্রথম অক্ষর বড় হবে। 'Poseidon' (গ্রিক দেবতা) এর সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
