甥は、自分の兄弟姉妹や配偶者の兄弟姉妹の男の子です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

英語では甥（nephew）はどちらの兄弟からでも使えますが、日本語の「甥」も同じく両方に使われます。女の子の場合は「姪」を使います。
