他の場所や物のすぐ隣、もしくは非常に近くにあることを表します。主に地域や建物、国などに使われます。

多くの場合「neighboring countries」や「neighboring towns」のように名詞の前で使います。人ではなく地域や建築物などに使います。新聞や地理の文脈でよく登場します。

We visited the neighboring town last weekend.
