Não dar o cuidado ou atenção necessários a alguém ou algo; ignorar algo que precisa ser feito ou cuidado.
Usage Notes (Portuguese (PT))
Usa-se de forma formal, normalmente em situações graves (crianças, animais, deveres). Combinações comuns: 'child neglect', 'neglect your responsibilities', 'neglect to mention'. Como verbo, 'neglect to do' significa esquecer ou não fazer algo. Diferente de 'ignore', que é mais intencional.
