جعَل الشيء أقل اتساعًا أو أكثر تركيزًا أو تحديدًا. هو التصريف الماضي والماضي التام لكلمة 'narrow'.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

يستخدم كثيرًا مع الطرق (ضيقت الطريق)، العيون ("narrowed his eyes" أي نظر بارتياب أو تركيز)، أو الخيارات ("narrowed the list"). غالبًا رسمي أو محايد. لا تخلطه مع "narrow-minded" (ضيق الأفق).
