誰かや何かを不意に素早く捕まえること。特に悪いことをしている人や欲しいものを取る時に使います。

カジュアルな言い方で、悪いことをしている時に警察に捕まる場合や、何かを素早く取る場合に使います。「nabbed by the police」は警察に捕まる意味。

The police nabbed the thief as he tried to run away.
