理解や説明が難しい事柄や、いまだに解明されていない出来事のこと。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
未知の事実や推理小説（mystery novel）などに使われます。「unsolved mysteries」や「the mysteries of the universe」などの表現があります。単なる秘密には使いません。
