叛變是指一羣人，通常是士兵或水手，拒絕服從領導的命令並試圖掌控局勢。這常發生在船上或軍隊中。

主要用於軍事或海軍場合，指對權威的叛變。在一般民用語境中甚少用到。常見搭配有“lead a mutiny（領導叛變）”、“put down a mutiny（鎮壓叛變）”、“mutiny breaks out（爆發叛變）”。
