モットーや標語は、個人や団体の大切な信念や指針を表す短い言葉やフレーズです。

「モットー」は学校や組織、個人の信条として幅広く使われます。広告用の「スローガン」とは異なり、座右の銘のような長く大切にするフレーズです。「live by a motto」は『モットーに従って生きる』という意味です。
