Definition

蛾は夜によく活動する、蝶に似ている飛ぶ昆虫です。触角がふさふさしていたり細かったりし、光に引き寄せられることが多いです。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「蛾」は複数形で、特に衣類に害を与える種類も「蛾」と呼ばれます。「バタフライ（蝶）」とは区別しましょう。比喩表現「蛾が光に集まるように」も使います。
