• 迫撃砲（はくげきほう）- 乳鉢（にゅうばち）

Definition

「迫撃砲」は高い角度で弾を撃つ短い砲で、「乳鉢」は料理や実験で材料をすりつぶす器です。どちらも「mortars」と呼ばれます。

戦争では「迫撃砲」、料理や化学では「乳鉢」と区別します。「乳鉢とすりこぎ」と混同しないよう注意しましょう。
