벽, 천장, 가구의 가장자리에 장식용으로 사용하는 나무, 플라스틱 등의 띠 모양 부재입니다. 또는 틀을 이용해 형태를 만드는 과정도 의미합니다.

'몰딩'은 주로 장식용 띠를 의미하지만 제조 분야에서는 '몰드로 형태를 만드는 작업'을 말할 때도 씁니다. 영국식 철자는 'moulding'입니다.
