“工厂”或“磨坊”是用于加工粮食、棉花等原材料的地方，也可以指用于研磨、加工材料的机器。

“Mills” 可指多种工厂，如 “textile mill”（纺织厂）、“sawmill”（锯木厂）。常出现在地名或历史语境，不要和动词“to mill”（碾磨）混淆。多为正式或中性用语。
