Definition
現実や存在の本質、物理的世界を超えた事柄について扱う哲学の一分野に関する言葉。抽象的や精神的なもの、具体的でないものを指す場合もある。

主に学術的や文学的な場面で使われる。'metaphysical question' や 'metaphysical concept' など、抽象的・哲学的な話題でよく出る。'supernatural'（超自然的）とは用法が異なる。
