人魚は、上半身は女性で、下半身は魚の尾を持つ伝説上の存在で、主に海に関する物語や伝説に登場します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「人魚」は童話やファンタジー、伝説に登場します。「セイレーン」と混同しないよう注意。男性版は「人魚の男」や「マーマン」といいます。
