物の大きさや長さ、重さ、量などを測った結果として示す数値やデータのこと。

科学や技術、仕立て、建設の場面でよく使われます。常に複数形で使い、'take measurements'や'give me your measurements'のような表現があります。動作を表す'measure'とは違うので注意。通常は具体的な数値や単位とともに使われます。
