Definition

মাপ বা সংখ্যা যা কোনো কিছুর আকার, দৈর্ঘ্য, ওজন বা পরিমাণ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়, সাধারণত মাপার পরে পাওয়া যায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

বিজ্ঞান, প্রযুক্তি, দর্জি বা নির্মাণ কাজে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়। সব সময় বহুবচনে থাকে: 'take measurements', 'give me your measurements'। 'measure' (কার্য) শব্দের সাথে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না। সাধারণত ইঞ্চি, সেন্টিমিটার ইত্যাদিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।
