Definition

অনেক মানুষকে অতি নিষ্ঠুর ও সহিংসভাবে হত্যা করার ঘটনাকে 'massacre' বলে। এটি সাধারণত ঐতিহাসিক, মর্মান্তিক বা অপরাধমূলক ঘটনার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Massacre' একটি গুরুতর, আনুষ্ঠানিক শব্দ; সাধারণত সংবাদ, ইতিহাস ও আইনি প্রসঙ্গে ব্যবহৃত হয়। ছোট ঘটনার জন্য নয়। দলে দেনারূপে ('the team suffered a massacre') কম ব্যবহৃত হয়।
