団体やチーム、イベントなどを象徴し、幸運をもたらすとされる人や動物、物のことです。

スポーツや学校でよく使われ、着ぐるみキャラクターとして登場することが多いです。「pet（ペット）」とは異なり、飼う動物の意味はありません。
