Definition

建物や彫像によく使われる硬くてなめらかな石。子どもの遊びに使う小さなガラス玉のことも指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

素材としての「marble」は数えません（made of marble）。おもちゃの「marble」は数えられます（three marbles）。「lose your marbles」は「正気を失う」という意味の口語表現です。
