Manhattan es uno de los cinco distritos de la ciudad de Nueva York, famoso por lugares como Times Square, Central Park y Wall Street. También puede referirse a un cóctel hecho con whisky, vermut dulce y amargo.

Normalmente se usa como nombre propio y con mayúscula: 'Manhattan'. Casi siempre se refiere al distrito de Nueva York, no a un sustantivo común. En restaurantes o bares, 'a Manhattan' suele significar el cóctel. No lo confundas con 'New York City' en general: Manhattan es solo una parte de la ciudad.
