這是「manage」的過去式。表示成功做到某件事，尤其是困難的事，或表示管理和安排人員、工作或某種情況。

表示「設法做到」時，後面常接 'to'，如 'managed to finish'。這個用法常強調經過努力後終於成功，也可以表示「負責管理」，如 'She managed the team.' 不要和 'could' 混淆；'managed to' 往往更強調費了力氣才做到。
