Definition

他人の家やホテルで掃除や料理などの家事を担当する女性のこと。

「メイド」は家庭やホテルで働く女性によく使われるが、近年は「ハウスキーパー」や「家政婦」もより丁寧な表現として使われることが多い。男性従業員には使用しない。
