Definition

場所やシステム内にあるすべての機械、またはそれらが連携して動く仕組みのこと。比喩的に、物事を動かす組織や仕組み全体を指すこともある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は数えられず、「machineries」とは言わない。主に工業用や農業用など大規模な機械に使い、小型の器具にはあまり使わない。比喩的に「政府の仕組み」のような使い方もある。
