'lowers his head', 'lowers the price', 'lowers her voice' ইত্যাদির মত শারীরিক, পরিমাণ বা ভাবগত অর্থে ব্যবহার হয়। এটি 'lowest' বা 'flowers' শব্দের সঙ্গে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
