前よりも低い位置に動かした、または量・レベル・価値などを下げたこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に「lower」の過去形で使う。'lower your voice'（声を小さくする）、'lower prices'（値下げする）、'lower your eyes'（目を伏せる）のような表現でよく登場する。価格や数字限定なら「減らす」とも使うが、物理的な動きの時も使われる。
