느슨하게 하다완화하다

Definition

어떤 것을 덜 꽉 조이게 하거나 완화시키는 것. 규칙·제한을 느슨하게 하는 데도 쓰임.

물리적 대상(나사, 끈 등)과 추상적 개념(규칙 등)에 모두 사용함. 'loosened up'은 분위기나 기분이 풀어졌음을 의미. 'untied'는 완전히 풀린 것이니 구분 필요.

He loosened his tie after the meeting.

회의가 끝난 후 그는 넥타이를 **느슨하게 했다**.
