Definition

力強く、大きな鳴き声を持ち、群れ（プライド）で生活する大型の野生ネコ。『ライオン』の複数形。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に動物を指す言葉です。「male lions」はオスのライオン、「sea lions」は違う動物です。1匹の場合は「lion」、2匹以上は「lions」を使います。
