フタまぶた

Definition

フタは鍋や瓶などの容器をふたをする物です。また、まぶたという意味もあり、目を守る皮膚の部分です。

主に容器のフタを指しますが、カジュアルな表現ではまぶたの意味もあります。'put the lid on'は終えるイメージ、'pop the lid off'は素早く開ける意味。'cap'（小さいボトルのキャップ）や'cover'（カバー全般）と区別しましょう。

The lids on these jars are very tight.

これらの瓶の**フタ**はとても固いです。
