Definition

「Lash」はむちや何かで強く打つこと、またはまぶたの端にある毛（まつげ）を指します。動詞としては強く打つ、結びつける意味もあります。

「Lash」は字義どおり“むちで打つ”以外に、比喩的に感情や物事が激しくぶつかるときにも使われます。「lash out」で急に怒る意もあります。「まつげ」は「eyelash」としてよく使います。
