Definition

槍（ランス）は、主に騎士や兵士が馬に乗って戦う際に用いた長い尖った武器です。また、それで突く動作も指します。

歴史やファンタジー、文学の文脈でよく使われます。普通のやり（spear）と異なり、特に騎士の馬上戦や勝負で使われます。「槍を持つ」「槍を下げる」などの表現で登場します。

The knight held a lance in his right hand.

騎士は右手に**槍**を持っていた。
