科学実験や研究、検査を行う部屋や建物のことです。血液やサンプルを調べる場所も含まれます。

日常会話では「ラボ」と略すことが多いです。「サイエンスラボ」や「メディカルラボ」などの表現があります。「工場」や「作業場」とは異なります。
