Definition
キッカーは、アメリカンフットボールやサッカーなどでボールを蹴って得点を狙う選手のことです。また、話や状況で意外性のある部分を指して使うこともあります。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
アメフトではキッカーはフィールドゴールやキックオフを担当します。日常会話で“the kicker is...”は「意外な事実は...」という意味で使われます。話のどんでん返しや主なポイントにも使えます。
