Definition

年齢が若い人、地位や経験が低い人、またはキャリアの初期段階にいる人を指します。また、父親と同じ名前を持つ息子を示すときにも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「junior doctor」「junior team」のように名詞の前で使われることが多いです。仕事では若さ보다는経験이 적다는 의미が強いです。アメリカの学校では「junior」で3年生の意味もあります。名前の後の「ジュニア（Jr.）」は父と同じ名前の息子に付けます。
