決断や変化が求められる非常に重要なタイミングや局面のこと。まれに物が合わさる場所も指します。

「juncture」はフォーマルな場面や文章で使われ、「at this juncture」「critical juncture」のように重要な決断や出来事の際に用います。「junction」（物理的な交差点）とは区別しましょう。
