物事を正しく判断する能力、または裁判所による正式な判決のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

イギリス英語では“judgement”、アメリカの法的文脈では“judgment”が一般的です。個人の判断にも法律の判決にも使われます。“prejudice”（偏見）とは異なります。“pass judgement”、“show good judgement”、“a court's judgement”のようなフレーズでよく使われます。
